An app which helps those with Parkinson’s improve their walking, speech and hand movements has been given a seal of approval by a leading charity.
Beats Medical is an app designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s and provides allied health therapy exercises; physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy.
It has been given the seal of approval from Parkinson’s UK, a charity which drives for better care, treatments and quality of life for those living with the condition.
The charity has added Beats Medical to its apps library, which was made publicly available in October 2018.

The library was set up by the charity organisation along with Our Mobile Health, which is responsible for sourcing and independently reviewing the potential apps and devices to help sift through digital tools that can be trusted and used by those living with Parkinson’s.
An independent panel of expert reviewers looks at apps across a range of areas including patient safety, data security and indicators of effectiveness.
All the tools featured in the library are designed to help people with Parkinson’s with everyday life, from walking and exercising to communicating and sleeping.
